Where do I register for the race?
Register on-line (registration button on our homepage) by using a credit or debit card. Registration forms are available on our Universal Race Application Tab. Registration is available on race day and will open at 8:30 a.m. and will close promptly at 9:40 a.m. Expect to wait in line and know there is no guarantee ability to process all runners who elect to register on race day to be processed in time for the start of the race. To guarantee a bib, goody bags and T-shirt, we highly encourage prior registration.
How do I know what my time is in this race?
In order to ensure accurate timing the running bib MUST be worn above the waist and securely attached with the four safety pins provided. We will announce the winners at the completion. We will post all the results on-line after the race, but you MUST remember your number! New this year (2012), we are proud to announce a partnership with Pretzel City Sports (PCS). PCS will professionally time both the Allentown and Reading Races.
Can I pick up a packet for a friend?
Yes. You will have to sign for the packet that you pick up in case there is some miscommunication. If you pick up a race packet and your friend does not get that packet – they will not be issued a new packet (which includes race number and t-shirt).
Where do I pick up my t-shirt and packet?
Race t-shirts and Packets may also be picked up the day of the race from 8:30 a.m. to 9:40 a.m..
Can I bring my dog, jogger (strollers), bike or skates to the Race?
For everyone’s safety, inline skaters, bikes (not including handbikes) and pets are restricted from participating in this event. Joggers(strollers) are allowed on the track for walkers ONLY.
Where are the rest rooms?
We will have adequate port-o-johns available outside the track on race day.
What about first aid?
Paramedics are alerted and on a zoned response. In case of emergency, dial 911. Additionally, there will be a first aid tent at the race site. If one is to need first aid along the route or become aware of another participant who may be in need, please advise water stop volunteers who will all be able to dispatch emergency medical care.
Where is the starting line? When should I get there?
All events will start inside the track at Alvernia University for the Reading Race/Walk. Via the announcement system runners will be advised to move to the start line of the race. The 5k will start first with the one-mile walk starting last. The Pottstown 5K will be held at Warwick Co Park. The Allentown 5K will be held at Lone Lane Park, Upper Macungie Township. Check back for more information or contact the race directors.
When and where do keystone warriors line up for the Opening Ceremonies?
Promptly at 9:45 a.m. at the start/finish line.
What can I do if I lost someone or something?
Lost family members and friends can be located by requesting an announcement at the awards tent at the start/finish line. For items lost or found please bring to this area.
Where can I get something to eat/drink?
Water will be available throughout the Race courses and at the finish line. After the Race, fruit and drinks are available at the Food Tent.
How do I know if I won an award/prize?
Awards will be announced and presented to the top three overall males and females for the 5k. Awards will be announced to the top three males and females in each age category and available for pick up at the awards table. Awards not picked up on race day will be available for pick up by contacting us.

Is this run for “serious runners” only?
Though the event is formally timed, this hybrid event will feature both competitive racers and those treating the event as a fun run. There will be prizes handed out to top competitors and to others who participate.
Will the run take place if there is rain?
The race will go on rain or shine. A race-day decision to run will be made for inclement weather.
Will there be other activities at the run site during the event?
There will be activities for the entire family.
